A Lazard spokeswoman said Thursday that the firm ultimately advised the government not to spend any further capital on Solyndra. "The government agreed with Lazard's advice," she added.

A spokesman for Lazard also wanted to clarify that the the company does not have a PAC or make political donations as a company. Any list of the company's political donations is a simply culling the donations made privately by Lazard's employees.
