Tensions Mount on the German-Swiss Border.

Well, not the actual, geographical border—but tensions are certainly on the rise between the two countries because of banking secrecy laws. The German government is cracking down on tax cheats such as Deutsche Post CEO Klaus Zumwinkel, but in order to do so, it needs access to the private records of some 1,500 Swiss bank accounts. More to the point, the Germans are deciding on whether to purchase information on the Swiss accounts from an informant whose asking price is $3.5 million—which Switzerland insists was illegally obtained. According to the Wall Street Journal, "Swiss officials reacted sharply to news of the latest data breach, cautioning Germany not to acquire what Switzerland considers stolen property."
"Or else what?" is what I believe the German response was, followed by a powerful bellow.
