The Best of The Weekly Standard 1995-2000
Founded by editors Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes, The Weekly Standard first appeared in September 1995 and quickly became a must-read for anyone wanting to understand American politics and culture. We've now collected from the almost 500 hundred issues published during our first ten years a large treasury of timeless writing about dozens of subjects--politics, of course, but also art, books, music, movies, you name it. And we are offering the pieces from those early years in e-books, one titled The Best of the Weekly Standard 1995 to 2000 and the second The Best of the Weekly Standard 2000 to 2005.
If you didn't read us in our first years, you can correct that deficit now! And if you did read us then, you can turn back the clock and revisit those best stories of yore--on Monica Lewinsky, the Florida recount of 2000, and 9/11 and the war on terrorism, among many others.
