Hmm. CQ has reclassified California's Senate race:

To reflect polling showing a tightening general election race and California voters’ particularly sour mood about the direction of their state and the country, CQ Politics is changing its race rating from Likely Democratic to the increasingly competitive Leans Democratic.

California GOP Senate candidate Tom Campbell's support has begun to wane, as the onetime-frontrunner for the Republican nomination spends time explaining his record, including ties to Sami Al-Arian, convicted of providing support to the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and a series of votes to cut aid to Israel when he was a member of the House of Representatives.

Two recent polls show former U.S. Representative Tom Campbell, who recently entered the California Republican primary for a U.S. Senate nomination, with a lead over his Republican opponents Carly Fiorina and Chuck DeVore. While the resume on his website shows a very impressive candidate, Campbell has a long troubling record as an anti-Israel public official.
