Dem. Convention Chair Accuses Republicans of 'Trot[ting] Out a Brown Face,' 'Spanish Surname'

Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the Democratic convention chairman, accused Republicans of "trot[ting] out a brown face or a Spanish surname":

"You can't just trot out a brown face or a Spanish surname and expect a vote for your party or your candidate," said Villaraigosa.

Villaraigosa made the comments this morning at a press conference in Tampa for the Democrats who are here to counter the Republican convention.
