I should explain, at the outset, that I am agnostic on the subject of public broadcasting. It's obvious that NPR suffers from a left-wing bias—so obvious that it seems not to be noticed by NPR—but the fact is that I seldom listen to its programming except the classical music on one (WETA) of the two NPR stations in Washington.

It seems that NPR was most concerned about Schiller's statements that the radio station would be fine without federal money.

They presumably won’t be able to act on this until January, when they take control of the House. This gives us all time to suggest catchy names for this bill, which could be one of the first pieces of legislation the new GOP House passes (after the repeal of Obamacare, presumably, and a few good government measures).
