Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska has a stark warning: TSA is not doing its job. He talked about some of the problems on Fox News:
"I think the president has a moral obligation to come clean with the American people about the fact that Washington is not doing its job. Obviously, we don't want to do anything or declassify any details that would give the terrorists a road map to the particular vulnerabilities," Sasse said, urging Obama to declassify information on TSA failures.
"But the problems that we face are much worse than the public understands. And I think the president has an obligation to come clean and lead a national conversation about where we are in preventing terrorism because we're not as safe as where the public is led to believe."
Admiral Jeremiah Denton is dead at 89. Americans of a certain age will remember him, if not by name, then as the returning Vietnam POW who stepped off the plane at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines and concluded some remarks with the words, “God bless America.”
Earlier this week, Maurice Bonamigo had strong words for the White House on its Egypt policy. “The Obama administration failed to assess the situation in Egypt,” Bonamigo told Egypt’s flagship English-language media organ, the Egypt Independent. “It did not appreciate the power of the Egyptian people calling for freedom. I am surprised by Obama’s stance.”
