But there is one group of people Obama has to listen to: the people who give him large sums of money. He recently attended his 150th fundraiser. That's more than the number attended by the last four presidents put together.

President Obama's campaign manager, Jim Messina, sent out a fundraising email today in an attempt to capitalize off losing the May money race to Republican Mitt Romney. In May, Romney and the Republicans raised $76.8 million, while Obama and the Democrats raised only $60 million. Here's Messina's fundraising email:

Politico reported yesterday that American Action Network, a 501c(4) group founded by former senator Norm Coleman (R-Minn.), is buying up ad time on Indianapolis television to run ads against Indiana state treasurer Richard Mourdock. Mourdock a Republican Senate candidate challenging incumbent senator Dick Lugar for the GOP nomination. Here's more from Politico:

President Obama is in full campaign mode today, attending five fundraisers in two cities, Chicago and Atlanta. The AP reports: 

President Barack Obama is embarking on a concentrated one-day fundraising trip, with a stop in his hometown of Chicago and another in Atlanta for a big-draw event with film producer Tyler Perry and performer Cee Lo Green.

Rick Santorum reportedly raised $9 million in February. That’s almost ten times what he raised in the entire fourth quarter of 2011 ($917,000), twice what he raised in January ($4.5 million), and 40 percent more than Mitt Romney raised in January ($6.2 million).

Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts reported raising $3.15 million in her first quarter as a candidate. Warren is challenging incumbent Republican senator Scott Brown. The Boston Globe reports:

House D.C. delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton left an interesting voicemail on a lobbyist’s answering machine a couple of weeks ago:

Howard Dean has resurrected his "Hit the Bat" gimmick in an effort to raise money to "fight for a public option" in the healthcare bill.

Via Geraghty, the St. Pete Times reports: "Marco Rubio says his  Stimulus Fundraising Bomb (www.StimulusBomb.com) has raised $411,000, just one week after launching with the goal of raising $787,000 by February 10."
