Watching the Fox News Republican forum last night, you couldn't help feeling a little sorry for Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani. Both often sat in silence for long stretches of time as Huckabee, Romney, and McCain went at it. For their part, however, Thompson and Giuliani handled their outsider status well, cracking jokes and providing wry commentary on the proceedings. Neither man will place in the top three (or perhaps four) in New Hampshire, but they are both great television guests, kinda like Statler and Waldorf from The Muppet Show.
