In remarks today in Virginia, Vice President Joe Biden got the name of the Virginia Democratic Senate candidate wrong:
There is a decent honorable man," Biden said of the Virginia Democratic Senate candidate. "That man has more integrity in his little finger than most people have in their whole body. I'm a big Tom Kaine fan. A big Tom Kaine fan."
His name is Tim Kaine, and he's the former chair of the Democratic National Committee.
UPDATE: Romney spokesman Ryan Williams responds: "Vice President Biden forgot the name of his own Virginia Democratic Senate nominee and he wants voters to forget about President Obama’s failed economic policies and lack of a real agenda for a second term. Virginians realize that if the Obama-Biden ticket is reelected, our national debt will climb to $20 trillion, Medicare will be cut by $716 billion, and millions of middle-class families will be hit with tax increases. We can’t afford four more years like the last four years. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are offering real change for a real recovery, with 12 million new jobs, rising incomes, and a stronger middle class. On November 6, Americans will choose this positive agenda over President Obama’s increasingly desperate attacks."
