Deb Fischer, the Republican Senate candidate in Nebraska, is out with her campaign's first general election advertisement. With Democratic senator Ben Nelson retiring at the end of his term, the race is a likely Republican pickup. Fischer is ahead in the few general election polls taken since she won the GOP nomination, and, as the ad above notes, Kerrey has the disadvantage of having lived in New York since leaving the Senate in 2001.
