The Republican National Committee says it's putting its money where its mouth is by running paid ads against CNN and NBC over the networks' plans to run a documentary (CNN) and mini-series (NBC) on Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 presidential election, a spokesman for the RNC says.
"[T]he RNC is taking it right to CNN and NBC by buying promoted YouTube ads on CNN and NBC YouTube sites with video of the chairman calling on the networks to dump the docs or lose debates," says an RNC spokesman. "It’s basically us putting money where our mouth is."
Here's a screenshot of one of the RNC's paid ads (in the top right hand corner of the image), which appear on CNN's and NBC's YouTube channels:
In a mass email to the press, another RNC spokesman adds, "[T]oday we’re launching our 'Will The Hillary Films Include…' miniseries of content NBC and CNN are unlikely to include in their Hillary productions. Today’s video, 'What Difference Does It Make,' is footage of Hillary dodging questions related to the Benghazi attacks. This comes on the heels of Chairman Priebus’ announcement last week that the networks must dump their Hillary docs or lose GOP debates."
