The Hotline reports that New York Democrat Eric Massa will resign on Monday. Massa faces allegations that he sexually harassed a male staffer.
His departure, and Republican congressman Nathan Deal's announcement that he will remain in his seat, means Pelosi needs 216 votes to pass the health care bill. Massa voted against the health care bill in November, arguing it was not liberal enough. He was believed to be one of the more likely House members to flip from no to yes.
