American Crossroads and the 1600 Project released a video today featuring its senior advisor Karl Rove, President George W. Bush’s deputy chief of staff. In the video, Rove breaks down the electoral college map, laying out what it will take for the Republican nominee to retake the White House in 2012. While Obama plans to raise $1 billion for his campaign, Rove points out, “He can’t run on his record. What’s he going to say? 'Vote for me because of the failed stimulus, all those deficits I piled up and a health care bill you hate?'”
The video is full of fast talk, numbers, and floating states, but the message is clear: The Republican candidate can win, and there is a clear battle strategy. And as Rove concludes, “America’s future is literally at stake. Let’s get this done."
