Protesters gathered at the American embassy in Amman, Jordan to signal opposition to the U.S. and President Barack Obama, according to the Jordan Times.
"Scores of Jordanians demonstrated on Thursday in front of the US embassy in Amman against US President Barack Obama’s visit to the Kingdom, according to news websites," the report reads.
Protesters chanted slogans against America’s policies and its support of Israel, calling for the closure of the embassy. Also on Thursday, activists gathered near the Israeli embassy in Amman to protest against Obama’s visit.
The demonstrations were held on the eve of a scheduled visit by Obama to Jordan, following his visit to Israel and Palestine.
Obama visited Petra today in southern Jordan, and is now in-flight on his way back home.
