From Scott Brown's victory speech (rough paraphrase): "And the message we need to send in dealing with terrorists: Our tax dollars should pay for weapons to stop them and not lawyers to defend them."
Brown attacked Eric Holder's decision to try KSM in civilian court in NYC several times in his speech. Earlier in the day, a senior Brown aide told NRO that the "no new rights for terrorists" line had more traction than the campaign had expected. I'm sure other Republican candidates in 2010--and the many Republicans who are now actively planning to enter campaigns after tonight--paid attention to the applause that line received.
Listen to Brown's speech carefully. It may just be the Republican playbook for November.
