Ramesh Ponnuru explains why Pennsylvania is one of the most important Senate races for conservatives this year:
Florida and Pennsylvania feature Republican nominees who are conservative champions. If Marco Rubio wins the Florida election, expect veep talk to start. If Pat Toomey wins, he will demonstrate that a strong free-market platform can win in Pennsylvania--where even Rick Santorum was careful not to adopt too conservative a line on economics. Both Rubio and Toomey have been willing to stand for entitlement reform, so their elections will also be tests of just how serious the country's concern about federal spending is.
