Gutiérrez Tries to Get Woman on $20 Bill

Democratic Rep. Luis V. Gutiérrez of Illinois has introduced a law to put a woman on the $20 bill. The law is being called, "Put a Woman on the Twenty Act."

"As women fill more and more positions of leadership in United States and in U.S. economy, there remains one place they are not represented: on United States currency. This legislation will change that," says the congressman's office in a press release.

In an email to supporters, Chelsea Clinton is asking for donations to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

President Barack Obama will start the week by attending 3 Democratic fundraisers in New York City, according to the White House.

"In the afternoon, the President will travel to New York City. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport will be open press," the president's schedule reads.

"While in New York City, the President will deliver remarks at two DNC events at private residences and a joint DCCC/DSCC event at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The DNC events are print pool for remarks only and the DCCC/DSCC event is pooled press.

Obama Orders Pay Raise for Biden, Members of Congress, Federal Workers

Student loan debt is $956 billion, with an 11 percent rate of delinquency.

Household debt jumped once again to $2.7 trillion, according to the New York Fed. "[T]he Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced that in the third quarter, non-real estate household debt jumped 2.3 percent to $2.7 trillion," reports the fed. "The increase was due to a boost in student loans ($42 billion), auto loans ($18 billion) and credit card balances ($2 billion)."
