The BlogMichael Mann is the most talented director now working, and so it was safe to assume that his talents even would apply to a 60-second spot for Nike. Watching this video, though, you have to imagine what it would be like if Mann made a full-length feature on pro-football--something that has been done before, with mixed results. My guess is Mann's film would be an instant classic--but then, I'm a fan. The ad also demonstrates the power of paid advertising--which power also extends, it should be noted, into politics.
