So, you got stuck in Iraq, or Afghanistan as the case may be. But you can still "make an effort to be smart." Vets for Freedom just sent out an email alerting their membership to a scholarship program run by the Fund for Veterans' Education, which will be disbursing as much as $1 million in scholarship money to veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The application deadline is October 15, so get to it.
