Jessica Alba for VP?

Christmas has come early for the right wing attack machine. Obama the sequel is the latest viral ad about the Democratic frontrunner. Featuring celebrities (and Theo Huxtable) from such family films as Boogie Nights, the 2-minute spot is to campaign commercials what the Sopranos is to television. High quality. Wide screen. Cringe inducing. The ad plays to my weaknesses: after all, celebutards asking me to vote for Obama is as close as I will ever get to the cool kids asking me to play.

Will it help Obama? The answer is no. Obama the sequel is Exhibit A, B, and C of the most narcissistic campaign in American history. Although Obama is now prone to criticizing Bill Clinton on the stump, he and the first black president will always share megalomania and their supporters will always be sycophants. So pull the lever, why don’t you. Do it for yourself. Do it for Obama. Do it for Jessica Alba’s bastard child.
