McCain's $15 Million Haul

It's less than a third of what Obama's raising each month, but Jonathan Martin says "business community types in flyover country are now warming to McCain." Why? According to an unnamed GOP fundraiser who Martin says is no McCainiac:

"The economic policies of Obama and Clinton scare the [stuffing] out of people."

Taxes should be a great issue for McCain in the fall. As the Los Angeles Times put it in an item last week, "Barack Obama thinks higher taxes are a good thing." And the lede:

Illinois Sen. Barack Obama went after the "We're not paying enough taxes to the government" vote today during a television interview in New York.

That kind of talk will tend to scare the "stuffing" out of folks--and get them to open their wallets.
