Fred Takes a Pass on AG

Fred Thompson is the featured guest on the latest episode of the Glenn & Helen Show (aka Mr. and Mrs. Instapundit). The big news: Thompson says he has no interest in serving as attorney general in a McCain administration. That's fine. Better that McCain make him the top spook. I had the opportunity to hear Thompson talk about intelligence reform a couple years ago. He was beyond impressive. And, if McCain wins in the fall, cleaning house at the CIA should be a top priority.

Of course, over the next few months Thompson will be devoting himself to making the case for McCain as a reliable conservative on matters of jurisprudence. He's off to a solid start with Glenn and Helen. It isn't too long, listen here.
