The GI Film Festival in Washington, DC:
The 2008 festival is particularly relevant, given the long chain of anti-military movies that tanked at the box office this past year. Organizers are screening an impressive list of films that offer a somewhat different view of the American GI and the United States in general. As far as the latter goes, I'm particularly interested in The World Without Us, a short alternate reality film involving a neo-isolationist US President (Ron Paul maybe?) who retreats to our pre-World War II foreign policy.
