Via The Scorecard, Republican Jon Gard, who lost an open seat race with Democrat Steve Kagen in 2006 by 2 percentage points, has his first TV ad up and running. It's not surprisingly about gas prices:

As potent as the energy issue may be, this might not be the best way to win a district that's home to Lambeau Field. Gard would do well to steal a page out of Democratic congressman Ron Kind's playbook:
