AK Dems Scrub Website That Said Palin Killed Bridge To Nowhere

Barack Obama - a man who requested nearly a billion dollars in earmarks during his short time in the Senate, including some for his wife's employer - is criticizing Sarah Palin support for earmarks. Today, Obama's spokesman said: "Despite being discredited over and over again by numerous news organizations, the McCain campaign continues to repeat the lie that Sarah Palin stopped the Bridge to Nowhere."

In fact, Palin supported the bridge project when she was a candidate, but ultimately killed the project as governor. Alaska Democrats acknowledged as much on their website - until they realized how inconvenient this was for Obama and then promptly scrubbed the site. Oops.
