Domesticated Progressives

More evidence to support the theory that progressives will feature prominently in the Obama administration's domestic policy and have almost no role in shaping foreign policy:

Melody Barnes, former chief counsel to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.) on the Senate Judiciary Committee and head of policy at the Center American Progress, will be named director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, officials said.
