Change is Fashionable

Just as they did during the campaign season, some of New York’s top fashion designers have created “the Runway for Change Inaugural Collection, a series of high fashion handbags and T-shirts created by some of America's most renowned designers in celebration of the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden,” the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced today.

The items--which are only slightly more attractive than the Runway for Change campaign gear--range from a $40 Alexander Wang scarf to a $150 crystal-embellished tee designed by Gerald Matthews, who sells his own unique “Obama Apparel” online, as well.

It seems change really has come--to inauguration souvenirs, at least.
