The Obama administration has decided that the UN's earnest international dialogue about the scourge that is the Jewish people racism is not something the U.S. should be involved in, despite previous promises to "engage" at the conference.

The prepared text for the conference scared off Obama's diplomacy team with its overwrought Israel criticism, according to reports. The document is rife with sympathy for the "Syrian nationals of the occupied Syrian Golan" and lamentation for the "segregation wall" in its pages of Israel criticism, but I think my favorite edit in the document, which is marked up with proposed language changes, is this:

(Holocaust) [proposal to change title]

One shudders to think what the Durban II crew would change it to.
