Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal yesterday expressed satisfaction with what he called President Obama’s “new lexicon.” "The challenge for everyone,” he told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, “is that (Obama's new language) is a prelude to a sincere change (of direction) in US and European foreign policy." As Meshaal sees it, it’s “only a matter of time” before U.S. officials are dealing directly with the terrorist organization he runs from his hiding-place in Damascus. And why not?
