Via Hot Air, Townhall's Jillian Bandes highlights this gobsmacking quote from Chuck Schumer, who appeared on Rachel Maddow's show earlier in the week:

"The world has changed. The old Reagan philosophy that served them well politically from 1980 to about 2004, 2006 is over. But the hard right, which still believes when the federal government moves chop off its hands, still believes, you know, traditional values kind of arguments and strong foreign policy, all that is over."

To get the full effect, watch the video. Schumer makes air quotes when he says "traditional values" and a mocking fist pump when he says "strong foreign policy."
