When it comes to putting your foot in your mouth, few exceed the skill and frequency of Rehman Malik, Pakistan's Interior Minister. While saying Pakistan is "not obliged" to arrest Hafiz Saeed, a known terrorist that leads the Lashkar-e-Taiba, which is banned by Paksitan and was designated a terrorist organization by both the United States and the United Nations, Malik had the audacity to blame India for last year's terror assault on the Indian city of Mumbai.
Perhaps Pakistan could have prevented the Mumbai attack had it locked up Saeed and dismantled Lashkar-e-Taiba long ago, instead of coddling its leaders and allowing the organization to survive and thrive. |
