U.S. officials went to Geneva to judge Iran's willingness to address international concerns over its nuclear program, having indicated that they're going to give the process until the end of the year before judging its effectiveness in resolving those concerns. Notes of caution and caveats will abound, but the take-away from Thursday's meeting will be: so far, so good.

Nice picture of Americans and Iranians sharing a so-far-so-good moment in Geneva. Just wondering: Is Bill Burns thinking of the three young Americans being held hostage by Iranian despots as he sits there gazing across the table at them?
