Obama Catches Hoops in Washington

President Obama is catching hoops in Washington tonight, watching the U.S. men's basketball team prepare for the Olympics with an exhibition game against Brazil. "President Obama arrived at the Verizon Center at 7:46 p.m., wearing jeans, sneakers, white shirt, dark blue Under Armor zip up," according to the pool report.

But though Obama missed the women's game, he made to meet with them and deliver a pep talk. From the pool report: 

He spoke to the Olympics-bound U.S. women's national team and posed for a group picture..
The U.S. team had just defeated the Brazilian women’s team earlier in the day.

He greeted the team with,  "Work up a sweat, ladies?" and gave brief congratulatory remarks.
"You are great representatives of the nation," he said. "We could not be prouder."
The team gave him a red USA jersey with Number 1.

The pooler adds:

POTUS arrived on the Verizon Center court at 8:06 p.m., greeted with loud cheers from crowd, "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen played.

He was joined by Vice President Joe Biden and former White House aide Reggie Love. Biden wearing a blue button-down and khaki slacks.

UPDATE: The pooler reports that President Obama was booed for not kissing First Lady Michelle Obama:

FLOTUS and POTUS put on "Kiss Cam" in Verizon Center.POTUS had his arm around his wife, both smiled, didn't kiss.Boos from crowd.

UPDATE II: The pooler was returned to the vans, before being brought back into the arena to see the first couple under the "kiss cam":

Your pool had briefly returned to the motorcade outside the Verizon Center before re-entering the game during the fourth quarter.   POTUS and FLOTUS were joined by Malia Obama, and the Obamas were put on the arena's Kiss Cam.

The president kissed his wife to cheers from the crowd.
