Pryor Quiet on VA Scandal

Mark Pryor, the Democratic senator from Arkansas facing reelection this year, hasn't answered questions about whether he thinks Veterans Affairs secretary Eric Shinseki should resign amid stories of malfeasance at VA hospitals. While many of his colleagues up for reelection have answered questions about the scandal, Pryor's office did not respond to a request from the Huffington Post and staff members from the office did not tell the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette whether the two-term senator thinks Shinseki should resign.

Pryor, who faces Army veteran and Republican congressman Tom Cotton this November, sits on the Senate's subcommittee for VA appropriations.
Two Democrats running for Senate, Alison Lundergan Grimes of Kentucky and Michelle Nunn of Georgia, have already said they think Shinseki should quit. Sitting senators up for reelection Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Mark Begich of Alaska, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, and Mark Udall of Colorado told the Huffington Post they did not support Shinseki's resignation.
