The War We Left Behind

The Americans are gone but there is no peace in Iraq. As Asir Ghazi and Tim Arango of the New York Times report:
Last week, the Iraqi government was making quiet appeals for help from the United States. Even if it were to come, it would probably be too little and too late. In that regard, American policy and action in that part of the world are depressingly consistent.
