After the first presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, Al Gore blamed the president's poor performance on the altitude of Denver, the city that hosted that match.

"Obama arrived in Denver at 2 p.m. today — just a few hours before the debate started," said former vice president Al Gore said on his own television networkCurrent. "Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5,000 feet, and you only have a few hours to adjust, I don't know..."

Now, in advance of tomorrow's town hall format debate hosted by CNN's Candy Crowley, Wolf Blitzer, also of CNN, is joking about the altitude on Long Island, New York, the location of tomorrow's match.

It's not cleat whether he's mocking Gore for his silly reasoning -- or if he's agreeing with Gore and mocking Obama for his performance last go around.
