The White House has released the list of those who will be sitting in the first lady's box tonight during President Obama's jobs address in Congress. Among the Obamas' guests will be several business leaders and politicians, including some very close friends of the president, and others from around the country.
At the top of the list is General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt, whom Fred Barnes has called Obama's "pet CEO" for supporting most of Obama's major policy goals. Other business executives attending the speech are Steve Case, chairman and CEO of Revolution LLC and a member of the president's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, and American Express CEO Kenneth Chennault. Richard Trumka, the president of the AFL-CIO, will also be a guest of the president. Trumka has recently voiced some public complaints about Obama, whom he supported strongly in 2008.
